Well. . My first time here. . Pho is suppose to be the Asian version of chicken noodle soup when you are feeling under the weather. . Sadly my mother is no longer here to make me pho. . So here i am looking for pho. I ordered it to go on the yelp app. It works! Picked up the food without many questions. I came home to find that my pho was lacking. The steak and extra steak i paid for were dry. The meat was not fresh. The meatballs were ok. The broth was chicken? It looked like my pho broth was made from won ton soup. Ewww! My meal was composed of the steak, meatballs, noodles, a lime wedge, bean sprouts, and a tiny smidgen of siricha sauce. As I previously stated. . The broth was severely lacking. Pho normally has mint, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, lime, hoisin sauce and fish sauce as condiments. I'll go some where else for pho from now on.

I ordered their pad thai. Quite disappointed. I would not order it again.

Fallen Angel My family has been coming to this establishment since I was just a kid. This place used to be the place to come for excellent fried dumplings (guo tie), fried lamb with leaks (tsong bao yang), ma po dofu (traditional spicy tofu dish), gong bao ji ding (what you round eyes describe as kung pao chicken), mushee rou (mixture of a bunch of excellent things, not really even sure what), and lastly Peking Duck. Sadly, with the change in ownership came a change in chef and things are now just not the same. Prior to the change I would easily rate this place 4 stars, now after unfortunately the transferred recipes have morphed to something completely different and not agreeable with my palette.

Good place... Really liked the people very family oriented. Been 4 times and each time gotten something new and haven't been let down yet. It is definitely worth a try out of all the Chinese joints out there.

My first visit to the Princess Garden since it was sold...so sad! I ordered my two favorites, Moo Shi Pork and Sichuan Lamb. At the old place, these were transcendent dishes. Not so any more. The Moo shi pork was the better of the two, but the fabulous homemade pancakes have been replaced by those brittle ones you buy frozen in the Asian grocery store. Really undistinguished, and they split when you load them. Sichuan lamb was thicker slices of lamb than at the old place, with a few green onions and many big slices of round white onion. Both dishes were more "saucy" than the versions served at the original restaurant. The waiter (very sweet, friendly young guy) told me that the new chef is from the Guangzhou area (near Hong Kong) and "cooks Sichuan flavor in the Guangzhou style, with more juice." Just so you know, that's what you'll be getting. If I were in the area, I would stop in for lunch--the food is fine--but I won't be making special trips to come here anymore. End of an era.

It actually causes me physical pain to write this update... Maria has sold Princess Garden. On a recent visit home, I was here with my family and the Egg Drop soup, the Kung Pao, the fried cream cheese puffs.... were all... different. Change can be good, but not in this case. Clearly, recipes were changed and not for the better. I'm so depressed I don't know what to do with myself, how will I ever enjoy Kung Pao again?!?!

I and a couple of friends went there because we heard they had Peking Duck. We ordered Peking Duck and Chinese broccoli with oyster-garlic sauce. We tried to ask the server what else could they do with the duck meat, because Peking Duck is usually served with by slicing crispy duck skin to bite size. The bite-sized skins are to be eaten with thin pancake, scallion, sometimes sliced cucumber, and then topped with hoisin sauce. The duck meat is usually cook 2 ways and the duck bones are usually used to make soup. However, when we asked to server and probably the manager or the owner in charge, they had no idea what we were talking about, so the duck meat was just served skinless with no further cooking methods involved. We found this extremely weird. The crispy duck skins tasted good as well as the stir-fried Chinese broccoli. However, the plain and skinless duck meat was pretty bland. It would have been so much better if the duck meat was cooked some other ways.

This place is pretty decent. I've only gotten delivery from them so I can't speak on service. But the pulled duck fried rice is so good! Plus they delivery pho!

The opening of weekend Dim Sum brunch on Mother Day is of great success, most of dishes are only 3 dollar compared with other expensive places. The owner or cook from Canton in China, which means they are the master of Dim Sum. Wish this place can be bigger to accommodate more people. normal lunch special is served after two on weekend

There's a reason why Chinese restaurants don't serve pho. Now I know why. Their pho was as fake as Pam Anderson's... I was quite disappointed. Being an avid "pho-eater", they skimped on greens (no green onions, cilantro, etc), I counted about 7 sprouts and I paid extra ($1.50 for extra brisket) and got a total of 4 slices. They included a slice of lime and a small container of (mixed) oyster sauce and sriracha sauce. I had to add in my own (from home): fish sauce, garlic oil, and greens. Their noodles was the cheap (and thick) kind, the ones you would get from the Asian grocery stores for .99 cents a package. The only good thing was that the broth was super hot. I also ordered the chicken wings (with spicy mayo) because my order hadn't reach the required minimum amount of $15, but I haven't eaten the wings yet; that'll be tomorrow's dinner. We'll see how THAT goes...

The Hunan Chicken is very good. The vegetable stir fry is also very good. The PHO is fair. The sesame chicken ok though a tad dry. The delivery is a great value and very easy.

Great quick to go Chinese restaurant. This place is pretty awesome considering its 5 mins from my house and that they deliver. I don't think that I would ever want to sit down and eat but it's awesome for pick ups. I want to say that this is your typical Chinese restaurant. So things such as kong pow, chow main etc are their bread and butter. And the pricing is very reasonable.

The second time we ordered it took an hour and a half to arrive by delivery. They calledonce to say they ran out of fried rice (what kind of chinese restaurant runs out of fried rice?). I tried to cancel or order, but they said they already cooked it. My husbands food was fried so hard he could barely eat his sweetand sour pork. My sechwan chicken looks suspiciously not like chicken. It's so greasy is inedible. We will never order from here ever again.

Service was poor and the food was okay. The pad thai there is not pad thai. Don't order it!

Pleasantly surprised to find this place. I've seen it before, and glad we thought of stopping in today. The place was fairly dead. Not too many people dining in, but there were people getting take out, the owners and some family hanging out. We ordered the Korean style stone cooked rice with Kimchi and chicken which was really hot. Not spicy hot, temperature hot because it was cooked in a cast iron pot. It took forever for that rice to cool off, but it was good and very fresh tasting once it did finally cool off. Also ordered the spicy szechaun chicken which was pretty fragrant. A tad oily, but pretty good. AND The Wonton Soup. Not the best I've had. Was able to choose between egg and rice noodles. I opted for the rice. Next time I should have opted out and just gone with the broth. Place is smallish- about 6 tables and the rest booths. Service was great. Pretty big menu and they deliver...

Ordered delivery waited two hours to get cold soggy food. Much better choices in the area.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, topped off by some of the best Chinese food I've had lately. I tried the mu shu pork, curried BBQ pork fried rice and the chicken with cashew nuts.

This is our family's favorite Chinese restaurant. We have been going there for so many years. Maria knows what we want before we even sit down. Hot and sour soup, Szechwan Lamb, Moo Shu Pork...I love it! I can't go to Minnesota without eating there. People always laugh at me because I live in the Bay Area now, but nothing compares to this. I practically grew up in the restaurant! (OK, so now I may be exaggerating, but I have been going there for at least 20 years.) The Szechwan Lamb is really the best. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it...I can't wait for my next trip "home" to visit the parents and eat at the Princess Garden.

Went there for dimsum. I am not a fan of dimsum because I don't eat meat, but my meat-loving family dragged me along. I ordered the tofu skin, but then found out that it is actually meat wrapped in tofu skin. They do have a few non-meat items, and they were very good. My family liked the meat dishes.

I was woken up at 3 in the morning with the worst case of diahrrea I've ever had in my life after eating a meal from Princess Garden. The food certainly was not worth the pain and discomfort I experienced. Everything was BLAND. The item which I most look forward to from chinese restaurants is cream cheese wontons, which were terrible from this place. The drop soup was awful, I didnt even eat it after the first bite. The beef lo mein I ordered was disgusting. Not sure if beef was even in there, just some chewy rubbery brown bland pieces of something. Worst chinese food I've ever had. Work was no picnic the next day when I had to start at 5 a.m. The prices were very cheap, so I'm sure this is why I got sick-lord knows what they put in the food.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
